Here at Governor’s Lodge we are pleased to offer three different categories of accommodation.
Our one bedroom cabin with balcony is the most popular and offers a home away from home. Featuring a king split bed, separate lounge, and kitchenette, these individual and private units are surrounded by lush gardens with easy access to all the resort facilities.
Our deluxe one bedroom cabin with balcony provides the same facilities with the addition of a double spa bath and the best views on the property.
We also have one accessible cabin with balcony, accompanied by ramp access, lowered taps and counters, shower access, and a dedicated car space.
Please note that property & all cabins are non-smoking.
All rooms will be serviced mid-stay. If you would like any additional daily servicing, this is available for a fee of $30 per day (payable at reception) Please note that there is no servicing on Sundays or public holidays.
Our friendly reception staff are on hand to ensure that your stay is as rewarding & enjoyable as possible. They will happily share their local knowledge, suggest your ideal dining and tour options and cater to any unexpected need. Grab a book from our free library or sit back with a freshly brewed latte while you wait for your tour bus in comfort. We understand it’s the little things that can make your holiday a happy, lasting memory.
We understand that staying connected is important while you are away. Your Australian mobile will not work on Norfolk Island however visitors can purchase a SIM through Norfolk Telecom (in Burnt Pine) or through select businesses. The standard tourist plan provides 1GB of data which can be used island-wide plus an allowance for local calls & local SMS. Additonal data can be purchased via top-up. Governor's Lodge also offers hot spot wifi for purchase at the hotel. Please note that it will only be available for use at Governor's Lodge reception. Because of this we highly recommend the visitors SIM instead.
There is a Guest Laundry and communal BBQ area located near the sparkling pool & heated spa, meaning you can pack light and add to the feeling of ease that is a renowned part of a holiday here.
We now offer delicious options throughout the day, from breakfast, lunch and dinner through to snacks, all showcasing the sensational local produce where available.
At the Boatshed, dining is a suitably relaxed affair as you kick off your day with a café style menu under the sails of the marquee. Breakfast & lunch is served daily and this is also a popular venue for functions.
The Lounge Bar & Café, located directly behind reception, offers a wide range of casual dine-in or take-away options. Enjoy a freshly ground barista style coffee, grab a quick bite or enjoy a chilled wine or beer.
By night, situated in the heart of the resort, Bailey’s Restaurant offers a charming homestead atmosphere while delivering quality modern cuisine from an a la carte menu. Bailey’s is a classy dining destination yet offering the same welcoming warmth and laidback hospitality that you enjoy throughout this resort. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made with the friendly team at reception.
Governor’s Lodge is the leading choice for groups and ideal for conferences, events, weddings and incentive-based trips. We have two conference areas, each able to be configured to suit your requirements and functionality needs. Our conference room (located behind reception) is equipped with a large visual display screen, laptop to screen projection, inbuilt sound system, internet access, toilets and storage. It is popular with corporate functions, workshops & seminars. The Boatshed is a popular option for a more relaxed casual event such as a truly memorable wedding, theatre events & group dinners.
